About Freya 


​Freya has been practising various forms of mindfulness and meditation for many years. Her first experiences were as a child with a regular practice of yoga, dance, and tai chi. 

When Freya began practising as a Chiropractor in
1997 she also started teaching mindfulness of breath techniques to patients, to help them with sleep and stress reduction. 

In 2013 due to a debilitating health challenge, Freya had to suddenly stop working as a Chiropractor. She increased her dedication to her daily formal meditation practice and also found Yin yoga. She found both so valuable that she decided to train as a meditation & yoga teacher to be able to share
the benefits with others. Gradually she was able to incorporate the health benefits of inversions into her practice, through the use of a FeetUP trainer,

Her passion has always been working with women and children (as a Chiropractor), so it felt like a natural progression to extend that into her mindfulness, meditation, and yoga teaching. She started teaching mindfulness & meditation at Caulfield Grammar School (the Malvern Junior campus) in 2015. This expanded to teaching senior students at Scotch College and offering adult classes, workshops & retreats. She finds it wonderfully rewarding.

Adding mindfulness, meditation, and yoga to your

Freya is a soon-to-be-published author. Her book -Wonder Full Women, subtitle Attune & Bloom. Eat, Move & Meditate with the Seasons. -is due to be published in late 2021/early 2022.

Freya is a registered mindfulness & meditation teacher with the Meditation Association of Australia. She is also a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance International. She continues to learn, regularly train with others, and attends retreats alongside her daily practice for professional and personal growth. She wholeheartedly recognises the positive & healing effects on our body, heart, and mind of mindfulness practices, meditation, and yoga.
