Such a great book! Freya Bennet-Overstall combines evidence based research with a respect for the historical traditions of yoga and TCM with her own passion and heart felt experience. Meridian theory wasn't a big part of my yin yoga teacher training and it's something I've always wanted to learn more about, Freya shares this information in a really clear helpful way so I can bring it in to my own practice. I also love that she shares the Kulin nation seasons so I get to learn about that too. The information about the nervous system, menstrual cycle and the effects of stress on the body is also super helpful and applicable to everyday life. Her book is detailed enough for teachers, but the language is clear and accessible so I'd recommend it to anyone who has an interest in learning more about yoga, their bodies and how to work with the seasons.
